Third graders can expect homework Monday - Thursday. I hope students will read over the weekend, but it is not required. Assignments will be on their "Assignment sheets" which will be in their homework folder. Please sign and return the sheet every day. Do not sign more than one day at a time. You may help to ensure your student does the assignments neatly and completely. The parts of the assignment sheet are shown below.
Third graders will read everyday. They will start with only 20 minutes of reading for homework, and we will transition to 30 minutes later in the year. They should be reading books that are their level and of all genres.
If you hover your mouse over the "homework" tab above, you'll see "Spelling, reading, writing, math, and content" tabs. Click a subject to find specific homework assignments. I will not be putting up all homework assignments, but more like projects and long-term assignments. On the spelling page are their monthly Spelling Bingo cards and the words of the week. Go to the spelling page for more details.
